Paula Waggoner-Aguilar, CFO CPA MST
Paula Waggoner-Aguilar has more than 20 years experience working for and serving on boards. She was 28 years old when she first began presenting financials to executive boards while working as the Acting CFO for one of Enron International's joint ventures with Shell in Brazil (the only solvent division of Enron). Throughout most of her Fortune 500 corporate career, she was often the youngest and only woman in the corporate executive board and member of the executive leadership team. Her global management experience in the oil and gas and energy business coupled with her CPA credentials, entrepreneurship, finance, strategic business planning, risk management, investor relations, financial reporting, internal audit, controllership and strong technical US GAAP and IFRS accounting work history set her apart from her peers.
Paula has dedicated more than 25 years to helping companies commercialize, startup, grow, change, and turnaround their investments in oil and gas, energy services, utilities, technology, and manufacturing. She started her career in the 1990’s working in the oilfield in Latin America and has since worked in leadership roles for several Fortune 500 and Fortune Global 100 companies including Buckeye Partners, BHP Billiton, Suez Energy, Duke Energy International, Enron International, Halliburton, and most recently for Lewis Energy Group (at the time it was one of the largest private companies in the nation). Over the last decade, Paula has worked as an Outsourced CFO and/or Strategic CFO Advisor to more than 15 companies. As an entrepreneur, she has grown revenue greater than 30% YOY a couple of years in a row all while navigating her firm through challenging business cycles. In addition, she has diversified and expanded the firm she founded in 2013 into the healthcare industry and later into the medical field.
